Program Highlights: 

The Hôpital Montfort Pharmacy Residency Program provides a structured 52-week training experience designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required for contemporary hospital pharmacy practice. While the program will welcome its first resident as an independent program in 2027, it is built on more than a decade of residency training experience at Hôpital Montfort through the joint Ottawa Hospital-Hôpital Montfort Pharmacy Residency Program. An individualized learning plan is developed for each resident based on their interests, learning needs, and career goals.

  • Family Health Team and Chronic Disease Management Clinic
  • External rotations at partner institutions (e.g., CHEO, Bruyère Health, The Ottawa Hospital, or community and rural practice sites), based on the resident's interests, learning objectives, and availability.

Required Credentials

  • PharmD degree (or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Functional ability to understand and communicate in French
