CSHP Saskatchewan Branch

The Continuing Education Travel Grant program provides supplementary funding that helps CSHP members attend conferences and educational events of relevance to their pharmacy practice. The grant will reimburse recipients for eligible expenses up to a total of $500. The award will be selected and distributed in compliance with Fresenius Kabi’s prospectus provided to the branch by CSHP National. Expenditures must occur and be claimed within the dates specified in the prospectus in order to be eligible for reimbursement.

The application of a candidate for this award shall be submitted no later than the  deadline determined annually by the Awards Chair. All applications shall be submitted to the Awards Committee in writing, with substantiating background information.  Submissions may be made electronically to the Awards Committee Chair. All applications shall be reviewed by the Executive Committee of the CSHP-SK Branch.

All branch procedures comply with the award sponsor’s prospectus as distributed by  CSHP National annually.

The candidate will be a member of the CSHP-SK Branch and selection shall be based upon: 

• Specificity of personal learning objectives for the intended educational/professional development activity 
• Relevance of the educational/professional development activity, including  personal learning objectives, to the candidate’s practice 
• Total cost associated with the educational/professional development activity 

If additional funds are available after applicants are selected, the Awards Committee will recommend to CSHP SK Branch Council whether the additional funds should be  allocated to successful applicants, based on the merit of their application, or should be awarded via random draw at the AGM and Educational Sessions. CSHP SK Branch Council will make the final decision about how any unallocated funds will be distributed  on an annual basis.
