Estimated Stipend: Residents are in a 'Pharmacy Resident Position' for 54 weeks with Northern Health.Residents are members of the Health Sciences Association (HSA) union and are covered by the Health Science Professionals Bargaining Association (HSPBA) Collective Agreement. You are required to become a member of HSA and pay union dues.
Residents are paid a P1 Salary less 15.2% as per the HSA Collective agreement (Wage Schedule N). Which is approximately $88000 for the 54 week term.
Residents are required to complete a 12-month return of service with Northern Health following their residency program. Residents are required to repay 25% of the total wages from the 'Pharmacy Resident Position' if they do not complete the return of service.
Benefits Included: Extended medical and dental as per collective agreement.
Vacation/Holiday Leave: 20 days as per collective agreement with 2 weeks scheduled during the residency year.Education/Conference Leave: None
Program Highlights:
Residents complete most rotations at the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George.Residents have the opportunity and are expected to complete a minimum of two rotations outside of the Prince George area. Sites that currently host resident rotations include Smithers, Terrace, Quesnel and Fort St. John.

Required Credentials: Upon entry into the program: graduate of an accredited entry-to-practice pharmacy degree program and licensed as a pharmacist in British Columbia. Residents are expected to be licensed as soon as eligible pending completion of the requirements to be licensed. Licensing typically occurs in July.
