The Year 1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Award, sponsored by Pfizer, recognizes hospital pharmacy residents whose major projects are judged to be most deserving in terms of significant innovation, practical application, and/or development in an institutional pharmacy practice setting. To apply for this award, each resident must provide an electronic copy of their residency project manuscript which has been made anonymous (i.e. all identifying names and locations should be removed). The manuscript format must follow the Canadian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy criteria. |

Procedure |
All CSHP Branches will advertise and administer the Year 1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Award program annually within their respective Branches. Presentation of the Year 1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Award to the winner will be conducted at the SK Branch Annual General Meeting in October. Local Pfizer Canada representatives are to be invited to participate in the Branch presentation of the Award. |

Selection of Candidates |

Adjudication of submissions for the Award will be conducted by 3 selected CSHP-SK Branch members (preferable, the reviewers would include 2 college faculty and one rural pharmacist to prevent bias in the judging process) blinded to the author and location of the project. Adjudicators will be chosen by each Branch administering the Award. An evaluation form will be provided to adjudicators by the respective Branch. |
