Estimated Stipend: ~ $42,000 per year

Program Highlights: This post-graduate program offers organized training in various areas of hospital pharmacy. Areas of special interest include provision of pharmaceutical care in various patient-care settings, critical appraisal, administration, research and education. 

Required Rotations:

- Medication Management Systems / Drug Distribution (4 weeks)
- Critical Appraisal / Health Research Methods (4-5 weeks)
- General Internal Medicine (4 weeks)
- Administration (2 weeks)
- Drug Information (2 weeks)
- Research Project (approximately 8-10 weeks scheduled throughout the year)


Elective Rotations:  
Elective rotations are usually 3-4 weeks in duration, based on resident’s preference and number of electives chosen

- Nephrology/Renal Transplant (inpatient and outpatient)
- NICU 
- Liaison
- Clinical Information
- Psychiatry
- Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship
- Ambulatory Care (e.g., SJHH Retail Pharmacy, Internal Medicine Rapid Assessment Clinic – IMRAC)
- General Surgery / Bariatric Surgery

Minimum required credentials: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D. Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Intern is required.
