Pharmacy Technician Advocacy

Pharmacy technicians are vital members of the pharmacy team and increasing technician membership within CSHP has been a priority over the last few years.

Council Priorities

In previous surveys, cost was identified as a barrier to pharmacy technician membership. To address this, our council has voted to temporarily remove the branch fees for membership for pharmacy technicians in an effort to make membership more feasible. Currently, our branch proudly boasts one the highest number of technician members of all branches in the country!

In 2024, CSHP-SK branch created a dedicated pharmacy technician position within our council to ensure technicians have a platform to share their perspective. We look forward to supporting this council member in their new role as they advocate for important issues surrounding pharmacy technician practice.
