Karen Dahri,

Dr. Karen Dahri is a Clinical Pharmacotherapeutic and Research Specialist in Internal Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital and an Associate Professor (Partner) with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC).  She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from UBC after which she completed a hospital pharmacy residency at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.  She later returned to UBC to do the post-grad Doctor of Pharmacy program. 

Karen currently leads the Respirology Module in the second year of the Entry to Practice Doctor of Pharmacy program and coordinates a Third-Year elective, Pharmacy Practice in Acute and Critically Ill Patients.  Her research interests encompass fall within clinical practice and education related improvements.  These include ways in which pharmacists can improve patient outcomes particularly around transitions of care and how to effectively prepare learners for clinical practice.  

Karen is a long-time volunteer with CSHP at both the Branch and National level and received her Fellow status with CSHP in 2019.  In her current role as BC Branch National Delegate, she co-leads CSHP’s Sustainability Implementation Task Force.  

This grant has been made possible by a bequest to the CSHP Foundation from the Estate of Dr. William (Bill) McLean. Bill was a long-time CSHP Member and Fellow. He devoted a significant amount of time to the endeavors of the CSHP and was immensely proud of its role and accomplishments.
