Est. stipend: $40,000 with an obligation to work 2 years in a Hospital in Quebec ("Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux" du Québec, QC applicants)
Vacation/holiday leave: 3 weeks
Education/conference leave: 7 days (that includes 2 days of advanced cardiac life support training for certification)Program highlights: Master degree in advanced pharmacotherapy (16-month residency, 60 credits). In-class teaching (20 credits), workshops (2 credits), clinical clerkships in specialties (32 credits) and research project (6 credits). Residents expected to become skilled and autonomous in provision of pharmaceutical care, provide drug info to patients & other health care professionals, prepare and conduct research project, become role models for undergraduate students. During clerkships, one to one relationship with a mentor is deemed essential.

2 X 4 weeks Internal Medicine or pediatric or geriatric medicine rotation
1 X 4 weeks Oncology rotation
1 X 4 weeks Intensive care rotation
1 X 4 weeks Emergency rotation
3 X 4 weeks optional rotation (ambulatory rotation, hospitalized patients, optional theme)
1 X 8 weeks Data Collection for research project
Minimum required credentials:The candidate must:
- have a Bachelor in Pharmacy or an entry-level PharmD in pharmacy;
- have a cumulative average grade of at least 3.0/4.3;
- have obtained a pharmacy practice license in the province of Québec from the Québec licensing body (Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec);
- be fluent in both written and spoken French since all classes are taught in French;
- become a member of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacist and the A.P.E.S during residency;
- apply to both MPA programs (Master and Complementary diploma);
- have completed the 600-hours internship before applying (for students who have graduated outside the province of Québec and who have completed the PEBC examination);
- If not graduated from a Canadian institution, have concrete experience in a Canadian hospital environment;
- complete a selection interview, that can be eliminatory.
