Education/Conference Leave: 7 daysProgram highlights: University program (master degree) in advanced pharmacotherapy (16-month residency, including a class semester of 4 months, total 60 credits). In-class teaching, workshops, clinical clerkships in specialties, research and management projects. Residents are expected to become skilled and autonomous in the provision of pharmaceutical care and services, to provide drug information to patients & health care professionals, to prepare and conduct research and management projects, and to become role models for undergraduate students.
Required Rotations:

- 1 x 4 weeks Internal Medicine, General Medicine, Pediatric, or Geriatric Medicine
- 1 x 4 weeks Oncology
- 1 x 4 weeks Intensive Care or Emergency
- 1 x 4 weeks Optional Rotation in a Non-Accredited Hospital
- 2 x 4 weeks Research Project

Minimum Required Credentials:
The candidate must:- have a Bachelor in Pharmacy or an entry-level PharmD degree in pharmacy;
- have a cumulative average grade of at least 3.0/4.3 (or the equivalent) for their undergraduate pharmacy degree;
- have a pharmacy practice license in the province of Québec (from the Québec licensing body Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec);
- be fluent in both written and spoken French since all classes are taught in French;
- if necessary, provide proof of sufficient knowledge of French by submitting the results of a French language test recognized by the Université de Montréal. The results must attest to the achievement of level B2 of The Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR);
- have a good knowledge of written and oral English;
- apply to both Master and the complementary diploma in advanced pharmacotherapy programs;
- have completed the 600-hours internship before applying (for students who have graduated outside the province of Québec and who have completed the PEBC examination);
- if not graduated from a Canadian institution, have significant experience in a Canadian hospital environment;
- submit their CV, a cover letter, and a reference letter;
- complete a selection interview, that can be eliminatory.
Other Eligibility Requirements:
The candidate must:- become a member of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists and the A.P.E.S during residency.
- pay the required institutional fees.
- have a laptop that meets university requirements.
- hold valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- comply with vaccination requirements.
- comply with criminal record check requirements.
